How custom jeans work
1Choose a style
Pick one of 17 styles for men, women and kids, then the denim, wash, rise, fly, hem and thread.
2Give us your numbers
Copy your best-fitting jeans laid flat (easiest) or measure yourself with a soft tape. Height and weight are optional, as a cross-check. Our measuring guide takes about 5 minutes.
3We check, cut and sew
A pattern maker reviews your measurements within 1 working day and emails you if anything looks unusual. Then your pair is cut and sewn in our own workshop.
Men's custom jeans: six fits
Women's custom jeans: eight styles
Jeans for your body shape
Pear, hourglass, apple, rectangle or inverted triangle: every shape has fits that work with it, and a made-to-measure pair is cut to your own waist, hips and thighs either way. Find your body shape in five minutes with a tape measure.
Custom jeans for kids
Children's sizes are built on age, but kids grow up and out at their own pace. We cut waist, hips and inseam separately, so a tall slim seven-year-old or a sturdy, shorter ten-year-old gets a pair that fits now.
- Grow-room hem: 1.5" sewn inside, let down when they shoot up
- Adjustable button-elastic waist, or a full pull-on waistband
- Reinforced knees, tagless flat seams and a name label inside, if you want them
Off the rack, altered, made to measure or bespoke?
"Custom" can mean four very different things. Here is what each one changes, so you can choose the one you need.
| Off the rack | Altered | Made to measure(Jeanszilla) | Bespoke | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What fits you | Nothing: you pick the nearest size | Length, and a little at the waist | Waist, seat, thigh and inseam, plus knee, leg opening and rise if you give them | Everything, from a pattern drafted for you |
| Fittings | Fitting rooms | One visit to a tailor | None: measure at home, we check the numbers | Usually two or more in person |
| Time | Today | A few days | 10–15 working days to make, 3–7 to deliver | Often several weeks or months |
| If it's wrong | Return it and try another size | Limited by the fabric in the seams | Fit Guarantee: free remake or up to $25 for an alteration | More fittings |
| Price | Varies | Jeans plus the tailor's fee | $109–119 adults, $79 kids, every size | Typically several hundred dollars and up |
When custom isn't worth it: if only the length is wrong and the rest fits, a hem at a local tailor is quicker and cheaper. If you want in-person fittings, choose a bespoke tailor.

Custom jeans: your questions
How much do custom jeans cost?
Adult jeans are $109, or $119 for Athletic Taper, Flare, Wide Leg and Barrel. Kids' jeans are $79. Every size costs the same. Extras such as selvedge denim, a button fly or a chain-stitch hem are priced as you choose them.
How long do custom jeans take?
10–15 working days to make, or 5–7 with rush production, then 3–7 working days by express courier.
What if I measure wrong?
We check every order within 1 working day. If a number doesn't add up against the others, or against your height and weight, we email you before cutting. If the finished pair still doesn't fit, the Fit Guarantee covers your first pair in each fit.
Can you copy a pair of jeans I already own?
Yes, and it's the easiest way. Lay them flat, measure them with our guide, and tell us in the notes what you'd change, such as "an inch longer, more room in the thigh".
What's the difference between made to measure and bespoke?
Made to measure cuts a pattern from your measurements without fittings. Bespoke adds in-person fittings and a pattern drafted from scratch, at a much higher price. Jeanszilla is made to measure.
Will I pay import duties in the US?
No. US duties are included in the price at checkout. For other countries, see shipping & duties.
