Slim by size vs slim by style
Parents mean two things by slim. One is a style: a neater, narrower leg. The other is a size: a waist smaller than the age chart expects. Shops mostly sell the first and label it the second, so a slender child gets a narrow leg on a waist that still needs a belt.
Ours covers both. The Slim style gives the neater leg, and the waist is cut from your child's measurement, so the jeans sit where they should before anything is cinched. The adjustable button-elastic band is there for growing room, not to make a too-big waist work.
Why slim sizes still fall down
Needs a belt every single day
The size was chosen for length, then the waist was cinched.
Cut to their real waist.
Inner elastic on its last button and still loose
Adjusters only take in so much.
The adjuster is kept for growth, not used up on day one.
Fabric bunched at the back
Elastic gathers a waistband that's simply too big.
A waistband that's the right size before it's adjusted.
Fits the waist, too short in the leg
Slim ranges tie length to waist size.
Inseam cut separately, so tall, slender kids get the full length.
Slim sizes stop too early
Some shop ranges end at around size 12.
No slim size grid: we cut from the measurements you send.

Measuring a slim waist
- Measure snug but not tight: one finger should slide under the tape.
- Waist: where their jeans sit, usually a little below the belly button.
- Hips: around the widest point of the seat.
- Inseam: crotch to ankle bone. For tall, slender kids check it twice; it's the number shops get wrong.
- Don't add extra room yourself. Send the body numbers and we allow the ease for the fabric.
- Prefer copying a pair that fits? Our measuring guide shows how.
When not to choose Slim
The waist is small but they need room in the seat or thigh: Kids' Regular gives more room for the same waist.
They dislike anything close on their legs, or find buttons hard: a full elastic pull-on is the easier choice.
Try Adaptive & Sensory-Friendly instead
Store jeans pinch at the seat and come out too long: that's the opposite build, and Husky suits it.

We check your numbers before we cut
Measure the waist where their jeans sit, the hips, and the inseam from crotch to ankle bone. Or measure their best-fitting pair laid flat.
Within 1 working day a pattern maker compares every measurement with the others, and emails you before cutting if anything looks unusual.

Questions and answers
My child's jeans keep falling down. Will slim jeans fix that?
If the waist is the problem, yes. We cut the waistband to your child's measurement, so it holds without a belt and the adjustable band only needs to deal with growth.
Is slim the same as skinny for kids?
No. Our Slim is cut for a neat leg with room to move, not a skin-tight one.
Do kids' slim jeans have stretch?
Choose Soft Stretch, a 10 oz denim with 2% elastane, or Classic Rigid at 12 oz if they like a firmer jean.
Where can I find jeans for a tall, skinny boy?
Right here: tall and slender is the build Slim is made for. Send his waist and his inseam and we cut to both, so he gets the length without the belt.
Do you make slim jeans past size 12?
We don't work in size numbers. Slim is cut from the measurements you send, so it doesn't stop at a particular age.
