Tall Women's Jeans, Long Enough at Last

Tall women's jeans need more than extra hem. Ours are cut to your inseam, up to 38", with a rise that suits a longer torso and a length set for the shoes you'll wear. They're for anyone whose "long" jeans still stop at the ankle. Every length costs the same.

          Measuring a long inseam accurately

          1. Get help: a long inseam measured alone usually comes out short.
          2. Stand straight against a wall, barefoot or in the shoes you'll wear.
          3. Measure from the crotch seam along the inside leg, keeping the tape flat, not angled.
          4. Measure twice; if the numbers differ, use the longer one and say so in the notes.
          5. Or measure the inseam of a pair that's long enough, laid flat.
          6. Step by step: our measuring guide.

          Tall and plus size

Tall ranges usually stop at modest waist sizes, and plus ranges stop at modest lengths. We cut both from your numbers, so a 38" inseam with a 60" waist is a normal order at the normal price. See plus size jeans for how we draft larger sizes.

One honest limit: 38" is our longest women's inseam. If you need more, ask us before you order.

Once a pair is right, we keep the pattern. Your next pair in that fit, in another wash or fabric, starts from the same long-leg numbers, with no remeasuring.

          Measuring long legs

Tap a number. A soft tape and five minutes is all it takes. Full method in the measuring guide.

          1. Waist Where you want the waistband to sit, tape level all the way round.
          2. Hips / seat Around the fullest part of your seat, feet together.
          3. Back rise Optional: from the crotch seam up to the top of the back waistband of a pair that doesn't gap.
          4. Thigh Around the fullest part of one thigh, just below the crotch.
          5. Inseam From the crotch down the inside leg to where you want the hem, in the shoes you'll wear.

We check your numbers before we cut

Copy your best-fitting jeans laid flat (easiest) or measure yourself with a soft tape. Height and weight are optional, as a cross-check.

Within 1 working day a pattern maker compares every measurement with the others and with your height and weight, and emails you before cutting if anything looks unusual.

          Questions and answers

What inseam do I need if I'm six foot?

Height alone won't tell you, because leg length varies so much between women of the same height. Measure your inseam, or a pair that's long enough, and we cut to that number.

Why are my long-length flares still too short?

Fixed long lengths assume a low heel. Measure your inseam wearing the heels you'll actually wear with them.

My jeans always feel short in the rise. What should I choose?

High or Ultra High, and if you have a pair that sits right, add its front and back rise to your order.

          Do longer inseams cost extra?

No. A 38" inseam costs the same as a 28": from $109, or $119 for Flare, Wide Leg and Barrel.

Can I get tall plus size jeans?

Yes: waists up to 70" and inseams up to 38", at the same price as any other size.

Do you deliver tall jeans outside the US?

Yes. Tracked express delivery takes 3–7 working days to the US, UK, EU, Canada and Australia, and it's free on orders over $299.
