Built for growing kids
Tap a number to see the options that help a pair last longer.

- Adjustable waist A button-elastic waistband: take it in now, let it out as they grow.
- Hips Cut to their hip measurement, so slim and sturdy kids both fit.
- Reinforced knees Optional (+$10): an extra layer where kids wear jeans out first.
- Grow-room hem Optional (+$8): 1.5" sewn inside, let down when they shoot up.

Fits the child, not the age
An age on a label is an average: a waist, a hip and a leg length that are assumed to grow together. Children don't read the chart. Plenty are a 7 in the waist and a 10 in the leg, or the other way round, and store sizing answers with inner elastic, a belt or a hem rolled up twice.
We skip the chart. You give us their waist, hips and inseam, plus age and height so we can see the numbers belong together, and we cut each one separately. Within one working day we compare them and email you before cutting if anything looks unusual. No tape measure handy? Lay their best-fitting jeans flat and copy those instead: how to measure a child for jeans.
The grow-room hem, step by step
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| When we sew them | We cut the legs 1.5 inches longer and fold the extra inside the hem, so the jeans fit at today's length. |
| After a growth spurt | Unpick the inside hem, let the fabric down, press and re-stitch. A basic sewing kit or any local tailor can do it. |
| For the waist | Pair it with the adjustable button-elastic waistband and let the elastic out as they grow. |
| What it costs | $8 on top of the $79 base. Choose it when you order. |
We don't promise a number of extra months, because every child grows at their own speed. On darker washes a faint line can show where the old fold sat; a cuff hides it.

Built for how kids actually wear jeans

Reinforced knees
For kids who kneel, slide and spend half of recess on the ground. $10 on any style.

Tagless, flat seams
No scratchy tag and flatter seams inside, free on every style, for kids who notice every seam.

Easy dressing
A full elastic pull-on waist with no fly, or a magnetic fly (+$12) that closes when the two sides meet. Magnetic closures aren't suitable for anyone with a pacemaker or other implanted medical device.

Their name inside
A name label inside the waistband (+$8) for school, sports bags and hand-me-down arguments between siblings.
When custom isn't worth it
If store slim, regular or husky sizes already fit your child well, buy those. Custom earns its $79 when nothing off the rack does.
If you need jeans this week. Each pair is made in 10-15 working days (rush 5-7) and then takes 3-7 working days by tracked express.

Boys' and girls' jeans
Every style is open to every child. Parents of boys mostly bring us long legs and waists that slip, so custom boys' jeans start there; parents of girls mostly bring a gap at the back waist and jeans that stop above the ankle, which is where custom girls' jeans begin.

Questions and answers
Are custom jeans worth it if my child will outgrow them?
They're worth it when store sizes don't fit. The adjustable waist and grow-room hem stretch one pair across a growth spurt, and when they finally outgrow it you send new measurements for the next.
How much do custom jeans for kids cost?
$79 for every style and every size. Extras are priced on their own: grow-room hem $8, reinforced knees $10, name label $8 and magnetic fly $12, while tagless flat seams are free. Magnetic closures aren't suitable for anyone with a pacemaker or other implanted medical device.
Can you make jeans for a child who is between sizes?
Yes, that's exactly who they're for. Because waist, hips and inseam are cut separately, a child can be one size in the waist and another in the leg.
What measurements do I need for my child?
Waist where their jeans sit, hips at the widest point and inseam from crotch to ankle bone, plus age, height and weight. Or copy their best-fitting jeans measured flat.
Which fabrics can I choose for kids' jeans?
Soft Stretch, a 10 oz denim with 2% elastane that moves with them, or Classic Rigid at 12 oz for a firmer, traditional feel.
What if the jeans don't fit?
The Fit Guarantee covers the first pair in each fit: tell us within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, for a free remake or up to $25 towards a local alteration.
