Why lined jeans for women are hard to fit
The lining sits against your skin through the hip, seat and thigh, which are the places stock sizes already disagree about. Size up to clear the thigh and you often get a gap at the back of the waistband; size to the waist and the lining feels tight.
Because we cut from your measurements, waist and hips are separate numbers and thigh is its own. Give us your measurements as usual; a pattern maker checks them before cutting. If a gap or a snug thigh is your usual problem, read about curvy jeans, plus-size jeans and tall jeans.

Choosing your lining and fabric
- Fleece if you're often outdoors or run cold; flannel if you want something lighter and more breathable.
- Comfort Stretch 11 oz (2% elastane) for everyday; Power Stretch 10 oz (4% elastane) for the most give.
- Classic Rigid 13 oz (100% cotton) if you like denim with structure and no stretch.
- Soft Cotton Stretch 11.5 oz (+$15) for a softer feel.
- Choose the inseam for the boots you'll wear, and mention any layers in the notes for your tailor.
When lined jeans may not suit
You mostly work in a warm office or drive with the heater on; a lining can run hot indoors.
You prefer to adjust with layers. An unlined pair in Classic Rigid 13 oz with tights or thermal leggings underneath gives you that control. See the Straight.

We check your numbers before we cut
Copy your best-fitting jeans laid flat (easiest) or measure yourself with a soft tape. Height and weight are optional, as a cross-check.
Within 1 working day a pattern maker compares every measurement with the others and with your height and weight, and emails you before cutting if anything looks unusual.

Questions and answers
Do fleece-lined jeans for women run small?
Stock sizes often feel snug because the lining takes up room. Ours are cut from your own measurements, so you don't have to guess whether to size up.
Is fleece or flannel better for women's winter jeans?
Fleece is generally warmer and plusher. Flannel is lighter, more breathable and gives a slimmer leg. Choose either at no extra cost.
Do you make lined jeans in plus sizes?
Yes. Waists run 24 to 70 inches at $129, with no size-based surcharge.
Can I get lined jeans in a bootcut?
Yes. The Lined Bootcut is fitted through the thigh and opens gently at the hem for boots, in either lining.
Can I get lined jeans without stretch?
Yes. Classic Rigid 13 oz is 100% cotton with no elastane. The other three fabrics have some stretch.
