Before you begin measuring, lay your top on a flat surface, smoothing out any wrinkles. Ensure the jacket is fully buttoned up to achieve the most accurate measurements possible.
Length:
Lay the jacket flat with the back facing up. Position the tape measure so it aligns with the center of the jacket. Measure from the seam at the collar down to the bottom edge of the jacket for an accurate length measurement.
Shoulder:
Lay the jacket flat with the front side facing up. Position the tape measure at one shoulder seam and extend it straight across to the opposite shoulder seam. Measure the distance between the two points for an accurate shoulder width.
Chest:
To measure the chest width, first lay the jacket flat with the front facing up. Smooth out any wrinkles to ensure the fabric is completely flat. Place the tape measure at one side seam and measure straight across the chest to the other side seam. Finally, multiply this measurement by 2 to get the total chest width
Sleeve Length:
Extend the sleeve so that it is lying flat and straight. Place the tape measure at the shoulder seam, where the sleeve is attached. Measure down the length of the sleeve all the way to the end of the cuff for an accurate sleeve length.
Cuff:
To measure the cuff opening, lay the sleeve flat and straighten the cuff. Position the tape measure at one edge of the cuff opening and extend it straight across to the opposite edge. This will give you the width of the cuff opening from side to side.
